Mobile Friendly

id8 provides mobile-friendly website design services that focus on building your brand digitally and providing the best experience for users, whether they are on their phone, tablet, or laptop.

At id8, we only design mobile-friendly (responsive) websites. A few reasons for needing website design would be:

  • Start-up of a new company
  • The Content Management System (CMS) is outdated
  • Your current website is not responsive (mobile-friendly)
  • Out-of-date messaging and photography
  • Merger or acquisition

At id8, we start with pre-work. We ask our clients to complete a questionnaire about their needs for the website. This questionnaire helps our team understand your website’s design and development requirements. We create an estimate, understand the scope of the project, and define expectations. We also want to meet with your team. It helps us to better understand your perspective, goals and needs for your website.

A Mobile-Friendly Scalable Website

From that meeting, we create a proposal detailing how best to achieve your goals. This will guide the mobile-friendly website design. And it helps us plan for the future scalability of your website.

Mobile First

At id8, we know that the website should be easy to use on a smartphone, on a tablet, and on a desktop. We use an approach called Mobile First. This means we focus the initial website design to work best on a phone. According to Statista, in 2018, 52.2 percent of all website traffic worldwide was generated through mobile phones, up from 50.3 percent in the previous year. Mobile currently accounts for half of all global web pages served. (July 22, 2019)

In addition, at id8, we believe that a website should be built based on extending your brand experience online. The value of the brand is intangible but extremely valuable. When you hire id8, our job is to advocate for your brand and build it so that it is memorable and accurately represents your brand in the message and visually.

Mobile-Friendly Website Process

Our process for website design is:

  1. Discover
  2. Create
  3. Activate

Discover

In Discover, we focus on research, strategy, and information architecture. We will create a sitemap and wireframes to define how the information will flow. It also shows you how users will navigate on their visit. For a large website, we also create customer journey maps. Our id8 journey maps select three different customer types with different objectives, then follow their anticipated actions when they get to the site. In the end, the customer journey map defines the necessary features, flow, and functions that support the best usability.

Create

In the second phase, Create, we take the wireframes and create on-brand messaging. This copywriting works with our elegant designs. We show you two design solutions from which you select the option that best suits your brand and achieves your goals. This id8 method gives clients the opportunity to make some selections on preference. We want the client to know we are working side by side while giving them enough information to make educated design decisions.

Activate

Finally, we Activate the chosen design into development and site launch. For responsive sites, we build each page five times. We consider all those devices and orientations and put in the time it takes to design and resize images for each device and angle. Our creative team optimizes imagery, writes code, writes metadata, and builds out the remaining pages. id8 hosts all the buttons, fields, forms, and motion graphics in a secure development environment. This allows us thoroughly test before going live. At id8, we use a 30-point checklist (id8’s Quality Assurance) to verify every image, all final copies, every page, and all the details.

If mobile-friendly design and brand are important to your organization, we would like to set up a consultation to learn more. Let’s schedule a meeting so we can talk about the future of your brand and the website that will help communicate the value you deliver.
